Games Competition 4th May

Once again we were very lucky with the weather, although a bit chilly it was dry and not too windy on Wednesday 4th May when around 30 children attended the games competition at Kennaa. Last time we held this competition there were just two tiny future members but this time there were five little ones all trying their very hardest to win a rosette - fortunately they all did! The results were as follows:-
Lead Rein (a) 1st Bethany Priest, 2nd Ellie Geoghegan, 3rd= Arthur Blaymire and Molly Storrie 4th Emma Parsons
Lead Rein (b) 1st Jessica Blaymire, 2nd Lucy Parsons, 3rd Sophie Hawley 4th Zevi Sansbury 5th Tommy Ralston
8 & Under 1st Eva Jones
10 & Under 1st Immy Milward 2nd Abby Jackson 3rd Elle Cain 4th Isla Curphey 5th Zelda Newey 6th Hannah Geoghegan
Over 11 1st Breeshey Evans, 2nd Isla Curphey 3rd Katy Robinson 4th Abbie Turner-Drewry 5th Danni Callin

The Isle of Man Prince Philip Cup Games team will be heading off to compete at the Area 4 Competition in Lancaster on the 22nd May. This year the team is made up of Katy Robinson, Breeshey Evans, Danni Callin, Abbie Turner-Drewry and Isla Curphey. After a few set backs, namely Katy suffered a suspected fracture of her wrist which turned out not be fractured but still damaged, fortunately Katy is tough and has continued practicing throughout and then Danni’s pony became unsound and a new mount had to be found for Danni, luckily for Danni, Isla’s other pony Rio was offered and Danni and Rio have formed a very good partnership. Once again the trainers have been Chris Chatel and Jane Cross, both have many years experience training our teams and we are hopeful of another good result from this team.
