The Pony Club held the first of the Autumn cross country events on Sunday 4th September at Oatlands Farm Santon (kind permission Mr & Mrs D Shacklock). In spite of the torrential rain of the day before the going was good and the course rode really well with few mishaps throughout the day. The committee would like to thank Mr & Mrs David Shacklock for allowing us to use their land, Gill Shacklock for her continued hard work maintaining and building the course, The Copy Shop for supplying back numbers, Laura and Mary Callow for their excellent job carrying out the starting and timing duties for the day, Miles and Matthew for traffic management and all the many helpers and stewards who ‘volunteer’ to give up their days off to help us – without their generous support we would not be able to run.
